Mathews Bows Single Cam Technology

June 30, 2009 · Filed Under bow hunting · Comment
by Brian Webber

When it comes to single cam bows, Mathews bows are some of the best on the market today. Since 1992 Mathews has been a leader in single cam technology, after previously making bows with two cams.

Matt McPherson, the Mathews Bows founder, determined that a two cam design was impractical, because the two cams actually fought against each other. He also found that the two cams were never in sync with each other. This caused issues with recoiling, tuning, and accuracy. So, he basically fixed this issue by switching from two cams to a single cam technology.

Following careful testing and extensive research, Mathews found that his idea of a single cam technology was the solution to a better bow design. He ditched the two cam idea and proceeded with a one cam design. The single cam bow proved to be a superior bow and improved the tuning issues seen with the two cam design.

Most importantly, this new single cam technology increased accuracy dramatically. For Mathews, a single cam technology just made sense and the new Mathews bows designs made bow hunters take notice. The company with it's revolutionary, yet simplistic design became the leader in single cam bow design.

In addition to the advancements of single cam technology, Mathews bows has worked to improve the efficiency and accuracy of their bows. For example, Mathews bows come equipped with Advanced Vectoring System, or AVS which makes Mathews bows extremely efficient compound bow s.

As the technology of Mathews bows continued to improve, Mathews decided that outsourcing was no longer an option. The company moved the machining and production of hunting bows in house. The decision proved to be worthwhile as Mathews bows is able to ensure product quality along every step of the manufacturing process. This gives Mathews bows the advantage of ensuring a quality compound bow product to their customers.

If you are a serious bow hunter looking for accuracy in your hunting, then Mathews Bows should be at the top of your list. Bow hunters are rushing to get their hands on this revolutionary single cam technology. Think twice before using two cam technology.
